♡Spring make up♡

Hello Everybody, spring/summer is finally here and my make up routine has changed a bit. So today I thought I would show you some of my go to make up products I've been using around this time of the year. This is a collab with one of my closest friends on instagram, Katie. (@blossomandaisyy) She is honestly so nice and her feed and blog is just perfect so defiantly read her post too.

I tend to go for a lighter base in spring and the bourjois healthy mix serum foundation is perfect for this, its a medium coverage and gives a dewy finish. For primer I use the ''That Gal' brightening primer, it makes my skin feel ready for foundation and does brighten my skin which is what I want in spring. The soap&glory Kick ass concealer has saved my life at times when my skin isn't at its best, its quite thick so its good for spots and blemishes and it comes with two shades and a powder. I love it so much! And finally the NYX setting spray to set my makeup into place.

To contour and bronze I use the hoola bronzer by benefit and the naked flushed urban decay palette. Because I think they are the perfect shades for my skin. For blush I either use the too faced candy glow blush or from the urban decay gwen stefani palette the shade 'cherry' both shades are really natural and pretty pink shades. Finally for highlight I use my holy grail Mary-lou Manizer, this is so pigmented and adds such a nice glow to the skin.

For eyes I use my too faced Natural eyes palette, My last post was a review on this so if you would like to read that click here. But I usually use the shade honey pot all over the lid and cashmere Bunny in the crease. The too faced mascara has became a new favourite in my collection it makes my eyelashes look so much thicker and lengthens them so much.

All my bright lipsticks come out in spring, but my two favourites are mac Patisserie and please me because they are both natural but still add a bit of colour without being too bold.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post.

♡Too Faced Natural eyes palette review♡

Recently I decided to treat myself to the Too Faced natural eyes palette as I really wanted to add another eye shadow palette to my make up collection. And I had heard so many good things about too faced eye shadows so I decided I'd try one for myself and I have fallen in love with it and I thought I would review it.

Like all Too faced products the packaging is stunning and a reasonable size for travelling. The palette was £32 and comes with nine neutral eye shadows. The shades are really warm and it comes with a variety of shimmery and matte shades. They have split the palette into 3 sections a day, classic and fashion look. Which I think is a really good idea especially if your starting out with make up and you don't know which shades will go together nicely.

From left to right: Heaven , Silk Teddy, Nudie, Honey Pot, Push-up ,Cashmere bunny, Sexspresso, Erotica and chocolate Martini.

All the shades are so pigmented and creamy which makes them really easy to apply and also makes them easy to blend. They last all day and they don't fade either. I love all the shades and use every one, I always find with eye shadow palettes they're will always be a shade I won't use like a black, which is annoying.

My favourite shades are Honey pot, heaven and chocolate martini. Because they are so pretty and heaven is a really good shade to highlight under your eyebrows and to put in the corner of your eye to brighten up. Honey pot is a really gorgeous gold shade which I love and find myself always reaching for.

I feel like this palette should be an essential to everyone's make up collection because it has really pretty everyday shades and is such good quality. Especially if you're like me and like to stick to neutral shades,I would recommend this palette to anyone.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful if you're thinking of treating yourself to this palette. Let me know if you have tried a too faced palette and which one is your favourite because I would defiantly like to try more in the future.

♥How I edit/take my Instagram and blog photos♥

Hello Everybody, I have been planning to do this blog post for months but I never got round to writing it up. I'm going to show you how I edit my photos and what I use to take them, I'm also going to show you some tips and tricks too. Since I have gotten my camera (around a year ago) my photos have improved so much and I have been through so many different instagram themes, but I'm going to show you how I edit for my current theme but they're all quite similar. So I hope you find this helpful.

when it comes to editing , I don't really do much I use the instagram editor and do simple three simple steps. For my blog I use ipiccy to edit. but I don't think it really matters what editor you use.

This is the original photo.

The first thing I will always do is brighten the photo up, It depends on the photo to how much I brighten it up because some were taking closer to my window so will already be quite bright.

Finally I saturate and contrast it so its colourful and so it balances out the exposure too. That's usually all I do when it comes to editing.

For my photos I use the Nikon D3200, But for Christmas this year I invested in a new lens which is the sigma 70-300mm lens. It took me a while to get used to as its so zoomed in and you have to stand quite far back when taking a photo. However I have noticed the quality improve in my photos since using it. A lot of people ask me if this is a good camera for filming (yotube) I have tested out filming on it and I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a filming camera as the sound isn't very good. But for photos its really good.

I also have a tripod because its so annoying when you go to take a photo and it ends up a bit blurry because you weren't still when taking a photo. But I don't really use it much.

Natural lighting

I usually take my photos at the weekend in the morning, around 10-11am because this is when the lighting is usually the best. When I take my photos when its really sunny the photos look softer and I prefer it. If you take the photos in direct sunlight it will look to harsh and will go really dark. I have seen some really nice photos when people use the flash but I never use the flash because I like my images to look softer.

To make my images look colourful, I usually take them on a different setting on my camera. Its the one that is a mountain and its for outside but I find it makes my photos brighter and more colourful so I use it indoors too.

If you compare the two pictures above, the second image is more interesting because the background is more colourful, when I'm taking a photo of a single object I like to blur the background completely and put things like fairy lights in the back to create bokeh. I just think it makes the picture look a lot nicer.

Fairy lights
I think if you look at my instagram feed there is fairy lights in every picture. I think it makes so much difference. So if you ever think they're is something missing to a picture, just add some fairy lights in.

Textures and positions
Whenever I take photos I will always experiment with different textures, I like to take my pictures on throws, cushions or sometimes just a white surface so they're not all the same I also think it makes the photo more interesting. The same with the position of photos I change it up depending on what is in the photo to see what works best.

By changing the zoom and angle of the photo,it can improve the picture. I like to take a few photos until I have taken one I'm happy with.

I hope this post was helpful, because I know if I find a blogger who is good at taking photos I'm more likely to click on the post and read it.

Collective haul

Hello everybody ,throughout January and February I have been doing a bit of shopping and I thought it would be nice to show you the things I have been collecting lately. So I hope you enjoy.

Recently my BB cream started to run out and so I thought it was a good time to try a new foundation, I decided to go for the L'Oreal true match foundation because I heard so many good reviews on it. It is a medium coverage foundation which is what I wanted and I got the shade 2n vanilla I was worried it might be a bit orange for me but it is actually the perfect shade. I really love this foundation because it is really easy to blend and doesn't make you look cakey, I would recommend this foundation if you want to try a new one!

My well loved soap and glory super cat eye liner was starting to become hard to use , it lasted for a year and even though it was my favourite I decided to try a different eye liner this time. I picked up the L'Oreal super liner perfect slim, its really easy to use because it has a really thin tip which I love and is thinner than my soap and glory one however I don't prefer it because it isn't black, you have to go over the line a couple of times because it comes out grey but I do like this eye liner.

When I saw a picture of the Gwen Stefani range, I knew I had to try something. Urban decay never fail to impress me with their stunning packaging. The blush palette comes with six gorgeous shades, three of them being shimmery and than the others are obviously matte. I am in love with this palette because the pigmentation is amazing, I couldn't believe it when I swatched it. I'm thinking of writing a full review on it, so let me know if you would like to see that.

I thought this maybelline colour tattoo in 'eternal gold' looked so pretty, it is really shimmery and creamy and is perfect for those days where you just want a natural look. They are really easy to work with too because they're creamy making it easy to blend. If you're wondering the one on the right is in the shade 'rose gold'.

Finally I went into urban outfitters and every time I go in there I will always see something I love, I really like the style of clothing and its always really good quality. I picked up this jumper which I thought would look perfect with my denim skirt. I also picked up a pinafore dress but I didn't have a photo of it.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, let me know if you have tried anything in this haul!

Valentines day makeup // collab

Hello everybody, so today I thought I would do a make up tutorial which you could wear if your doing something for valentines day. But before I begin, this is a collab with 7 other girls who have amazing blogs. We decided it would be nice to all collab regularly and pick a theme and we all do a blog related to it, so of course this time we choose valentines day. I will leave their links at their end.

nyx dewy finish spray
Maybelline baby skin primer
Maybelline dream fresh bb cream
collection lasting perfection concealer

I decided to go for a lighter base for this look. The nyx setting spray is so good and will give your make up a really nice finish, joint with the primer it will make your make up last all day. If you have blemishes you want to cover this concealer is perfect, its very high coverage so it covers any spot. I've got mine in the lightest shade to brighten under my eyes.

Mac amber times nine
Urban decay Naked 3
Nyx jumbo eye pencil 'milk'
soap and glory supercat eyeliner
Maybelline lash sensational mascara
they're real tinted primer

I took the shade Georgia Peach from my mac palette all over the lid, its such a beautiful warm shade. And then I took creative copper to make my eyes look shimmery. Then from the naked 3 palette I took Trick all over the lid and nooner in the crease to warm the look up. Finally to brighten my eyes up I took the nyx jumper eye pencil on my waterline and my supercat eyeliner. This mascara is amazing because it really lengthens my lashes and doesn't make them clumpy at all.

Too faced sweet heart blush- candy glow

Hoola bronzer- benefit

Mac- please me

I thought these products were perfect as they're really natural and the blush is so shimmery and pretty. To add a little bit of colour I choose this lipstick as its a beautiful pink shade.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful, defiantly go and check the other girls blog posts as they all have amazing blogs!
